Professional Women in Trades

We Are Ceiling Breakers

Professional Women in Trades, Inc. empowers and encourages women, middle school girls, and high school girls to seek careers in nontraditional careers by increasing awareness of education, employment, and training opportunities. We break barriers while bringing diversity and value to the trades.

Kidia BurnsFounder/Executive Chair

Kidia’s passion for manufacturing started many years ago as she watched her mother thrive in a non-traditional role. This drove Kidia to carry on and build her own legacy in manufacturing. Her goal is to bring new prospective employees to the trades and showing them a different way to make a livable wage. She is living up to her motto “We Can Do It Too!”
